Spring Break 2014

Last week was my spring break and I went on a cruise to Jamaica, Grand Cayman Islands, and Cozumel with one of the sweetest families I know! They have been such a blessing to me and I am so thankful that I was able to go on this trip with them!
We left last Saturday morning and drove to New Orleans to get on the ship. I would say that with three kiddos and four adults, it was a very easy process getting both on and off the boat.

Day 1:

Getting her tan on when we got on the boat ;)

Checking it all out after lunch

This child was so well behaved at dinner :)

Had to make a quick trip to the hot tub on the first night.. flash was a little bright :)

Sweet kiddos!

All bundled up sitting by the pool :)

Day 2:
Our first full day was at sea (Sunday) and Lindsey and I spent most of the day at the pool with AK

This is the life of a 2 year old.. Mickey Mouse on the iPad and lemonade in her cup :)

Thumbs up for Miss Hayley making the best dessert... two chocolate chip cookies with ice cream in the middle :)

Sunbathing beauty :)

On the first day we also had our first formal night for dinner. We told AK that this was "princess dinner" so this stuck throughout the entire week and by the time we left, everybody was calling her a princess :)

Ice cream run for a 2 year old at 10:00 PM.. awesome babysitters :)

Day 3 (Monday) was also a day at sea

Day 4: Falmouth, Jamaica

Lindsey and I had dinner with just AK this night which was also Mardi Gras so I was trying to be festive by wearing purple :)
AK is getting good at "selfies"

So, when I ordered dessert I asked for extra ice cream (my weakness) and he ended up bringing that plus like four extra desserts. Lindsey and I could not stop laughing.. there we were just two girls and a child with SIX desserts... It was fabulous :)
Pretty much every night after this I got extra ice cream without having to ask :)

Day 5: Grand Cayman

We spent the day swimming with stingrays and snorkeling.
I was a little hesitant about the stingrays because they were much bigger than I thought they would be and they would just swim up against your legs sort of like a cat but it was fun once we got going. My sweet sister also reminded me right before we went that Steve Irwin was killed by a stingray (oh well)!  I LOVED snorkeling! It was absolutely beautiful and something I will definitely do again! The water was crystal clear and we couldn't have asked for better weather!

Day 6: Cozumel, Mexico

We spent the day at a resort in Cozumel.. it was so nice! :)

I even had real Mexican food :)

This night was our second formal night in the dining room and of course the food was fabulous!

Day 7: At Sea
I woke up before everyone else and went to the top deck to watch the sunrise. So peaceful...
We didn't spend much time at the pool because it was beginning to get cooler the closer we got to New Orleans

We couldn't have asked for better service at dinner! Our waiters were fantastic and we were well taken care of! :)

Check out that spread :)

ICE CREAM! :)

We traveled back home on Saturday after breakfast in New Orleans and my first trip to Trader Joe's. My life has been forever changed by some cookie butter :)

Our trip was fabulous and lots of memories were made :)

I will be blogging soon about Amber's bachelorette weekend in Gulf Shores.. but for now, I have to study! :(

Also, please be in prayer for my sweet friend! She is in Costa Rica this week spending her spring break sharing the gospel and loving on others! I am so blessed to call her my best friend and thankful for her willingness and obedience!
