Thankful!

Monday morning I drove back from Auburn and I stopped to get coffee on my way out. While I was sitting in the drive thru line I checked my Timehop and there was a picture that took me right back to where I was this time last year...

I spent the entire drive just thinking about what this week a year ago felt like.
I was preparing for my OT interview that was on Friday, November 15th. The previous week was probably one of the worst weeks I have had while being away at college. I was so overwhelmed and literally just cried almost the whole week for no reason. I had planned on finding my interview suit the week before. I remember it so clearly... Jess had gone to the mall with me and as we were walking out of what seemed like 50th store (empty handed) I just started crying. To make this story short, I went home that weekend and my mom, of course, came to the rescue. She and I went to Dothan that Saturday and I'm pretty sure she bought me like three suits instead of one so I would have different options for that day.

This was the picture that showed up on my Timehop Monday morning...

There is no way I would have made it to grad school if it weren't for my parents and it being the Lord's sovereign will for me to be here.

So, when I got to class on Monday morning my teacher encouraged us to reflect and maybe even journal where we were this time one year ago. So that's pretty much what I've been doing this week. I try not to ever take it for granted that I have the opportunity to be sitting in a classroom when so many people are hoping to get into this OT program. When I start to get overwhelmed, I have to remind myself that I have already accomplished something and that "this too shall pass".

Praying for each person who has an interview tomorrow!

Oh, and just for fun... this is the moment I found out I was accepted. I have it as a link on my desktop where I can click it at anytime if I start to forget how that moment felt :)

Hello, November!

November might be my favorite month... the beginning of the month is still filled with all things pumpkin and "fallish" and then the end of the month (after Thanksgiving, people) comes the red and the green! And it's the end of the semester... so that could have something to do with it being my favorite month! Anyway, we definitely welcomed November the right way with a camping trip on the coldest night so far. My favorite part was the s'mores, of course! :)

I've started making a "bucket list" for November and I might share it later on when it's finished.. I just think that it will be a fun way to give me something to look forward to!

I've been home the past two weekends...
The first weekend was Opp's homecoming so I went to the parade with Ashton and her girls and then went to the ballgame later that night when Anthony got home.

This past weekend we went camping and then Saturday before the ballgame I hung out with Korrie Lynn and Lorrie for a little while. I haven't seen Korrie Lynn in a couple of years so it was nice to catch up with my high school best friend!

These next few pictures were Sunday afternoon after church...

Not much else going on except for OT school :)

We don't do arts and crafts everyday... only on Wednesday :)
LOVE OT! By far the greatest profession out there!

Only 20 days of school left this semester!!
I should probably get busy!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!
