Life Lately...

Hello!
Just realized that other than my Valentine's Day post, I haven't posted since my 2014 recap so I thought I would play catch up :)
(This post was actually started at the beginning of March but I haven't had the chance to finish so I just keep adding to it)

Always look forward to the weekend and date nights with this cutie :)
This night we went to Dothan to eat and see American Sniper but when we got to the theatre they were completely sold out so we went to Target and got Starbuck's instead

This picture is now framed and sitting on my kitchen counter and I just love it!

Spent the afternoon at Chewacla State Park in Auburn.. He literally wore that hat all weekend. Hey, at least the camos match :)

I had a much needed, relaxing spring break. I went home for a few days and then went and spent the rest of the week in Auburn

Target practice with Anthony at home

When this book came out I wanted so badly to run to Target and get my copy but I knew that if I did I would be reading it instead of doing school work (that is obviously more important). So, I waited until spring break to get it. I picked it up on Friday afternoon and was finished reading it by Sunday afternoon right after church. LOVED it!!! I was pretty much sold when Sean told the gospel in his own words on page three. The Bachelor is one of my favorite shows (will be watching Prince Farmings finale tonight at 7) but it just makes me so happy that someone in this position, who has so many eyes on him, made a decision to stand for what is right and to be bold about it. :)
So if you haven't read the book yet, you should! (I'll let you borrow mine)

On Monday I went and visited Mee-Maw at the nursing home. I had a project to do for school but it was just nice to be able to sit and talk for a while with her :)

Whew!
Anthony had a career fair to go to on Thursday and of course I was taking pictures against his will. I'm not supposed to be posting any online either.... oops. ;)

He gave me an ENO for valentines day so we used it for the first time during spring break

Post church selfie.. An is clearly not interested

We've had a couple of afternoons by the pool after class since the weather has been warming up. Looking forward to lots of pool days this summer :)

We went to Biloxi for the Miranda Lambert concert to celebrate the bride-to-be (who is now already a bride since I've waited so long to post)

Anthony came down here on the Tuesday of his spring break. It was nice being able to just leave school and meet him for lunch during the middle of the week :)

I made sure to buy patio furniture when he was here where I wouldn't be the one putting it together

I made my first splint for school a couple of weeks ago. You didn't see me post about it on Facebook or Instagram because it wasn't the most fun thing I've ever done. I think if I wouldn't have been thinking "I really need a good grade on this" the entire time I would have enjoyed it more.

Enjoying breakfast outside using my new patio furniture :)
(Anthony can make some pretty good pancakes, too)

I'm doing a small group study with this sweet group right now. It is a study by Brene Brown and it talks about being brave and vulnerable in different areas of our life. I am realizing that showing up and being who we are can be a difficult thing sometimes, but it's definitely possible.

Rehearsal/dinner for Jess and Cody

Something only a sister would do :)

Beautiful bride! So thankful that I was able to be a part of your day!

So thankful for my family

Easter lunch at the country club

Took this picture at school the other day. When I looked down and saw this on my wrist it was such a sweet reminder that I do not find my worth in anything of this world such as what people think of me, how many friends I have, the words (positive or negative) that people say to me, or my grades in school. I find my worth and who I am in what He did for me on that cross so many years ago. And it can all be summed up into this one word, "redeemed".

Headed to Auburn this afternoon when I get out of class! Can't wait to see his sweet face!! :)

Hope everyone is having a great week!
Love, Hayley

Valentine's Day 2015

February 14, 2014...
Anthony had asked me to come to Auburn that weekend and we were going to go to the gymnastics meet. All week I had planned on going because I didn't have a boyfriend so I obviously didn't really have any other plans for Valentine's day. Why not just spend the day with a friend? What could it hurt?

At the last minute, I pretty much ditched (story of our lives back then) him and told him I wasn't going to come and went home instead. (Thankfully he didn't hold to much of a grudge against me and hung in there)

Fast forward to this past weekend, February 14, 2015. Last week we had both planned on meeting in Opp for Valentine's day because on Saturday night we had a wedding shower for Jess and Cody to go to. We had decided that we would just go eat somewhere on Friday night for our Valentines "date". I decided since I ditched him last year that I probably owed him one so when I got out of class on Thursday afternoon, I headed to Auburn.

When I got there he was at the school meeting with a group for one of his classes so I parked my car a little down the street from his house and when he called me and told me he was on his way home I hid behind the house. I may not have told the whole truth during that conversation but I didn't want him to know I was there... I had kept a secret from him for like five whole days and couldn't ruin it at the last second.

So I'm standing behind his house and I hear his truck pulling up.. I start like sneaking toward him while he is turned around at his truck getting his stuff out and right when I thought he was about to turn around I started running full speed toward him... Wish I would have had a camera and captured his facial expression. He was so excited and kept saying "this doesn't even feel real right now". (Oh, and I'm pretty thankful that he didn't turn around and punch me in the face when he heard someone running toward him)

We went and ate mexican Thursday night and then he had class on Friday so I worked on some school stuff while he was at school. Friday night we got ready and went to Longhorn for supper. When we were leaving it was only like 6:45 and he asked me what I wanted to do. Of course, I'm indecisive and said it didn't matter so he said we would just go downtown for a little while and he headed in that direction.

We pull up at the arena and I was a little confused and asked what we were doing. He said there was a basketball game and he just figured since there was nothing else to do that we would go. In my mind I'm thinking "Neither of us are basketball fans so this is pretty weird" but I didn't want to be a brat so I just smiled and said "okay". When we got inside I had pretty much figured it out because I was thinking is this guy really taking me to a basketball game for Valentine's day when neither of us are basketball fans!?

We spent the rest of the night watching the AU vs. LSU gym meet :)
I know it doesn't seem like much but it really meant a lot to me... such a sweet boy! :)

Saturday morning we had breakfast at Bazilla's and then walked to the corner where they were planting the new trees. But really, what better way to spend our first Valentine's day than with the Auburn family?? (insert smiley sticking out tongue) WAR EAGLE!
We had a good morning and then drove home for the shower Saturday night.

Nothing much needs to be said about the shower except that Hillary only had to stick the food in the oven and warm it up and during the process we had flames. I will admit that I started screaming and was thinking in my head about the things that I needed to grab out of the house if it all went up in flames (ie. wedding album)

I had a really great weekend and just wanted to document it on my blog so that I never forget it! :)

These past few weeks at school have been crazy busy and challenging but this afternoon starts my spring break!!  It's going to be cold and I don't have anything fun planned but I am looking forward to being lazy for an entire week!!

Hope everyone is having a great week!!

Side Note: Many of my classmates are feeling defeated because of grades and other things pertaining to school right now. If you would, please take a minute to lift us up in prayer. I would really appreciate it! There are lots of awesome people in my class and some who you would be blessed to have as your OT someday!
