First Year at South...

My first year at the University of South Alabama has brought many changes to my life. So many new friendships have been made and I am so thankful that the Lord has placed godly girls in my life with the same values and beliefs. I have changed my major from Health Sciences to Psychology with a minor in Sociology. So far, so good! If things go as planned, I will graduate next May and hopefully continue my education in grad school. This year has shown me that my plans are definitely not the best plans and the Lord will bring good from any situation as long as I allow Him and trust Him to do so. Hopefully, I can get into a routine of blogging this summer. I would love to be able to look back later in life at my college days to see what I was doing and thinking during this time!

I moved into the dorm on August 18th and started classes on the following Monday. The dorm was an experience for sure! I can't just say I loved it, but I am glad I decided to try it for a year!

We both got new laptops the Saturday I moved in!

I spent most of my weekends at home. Moving to Mobile was a pretty big adjustment for me!

Most Friday nights consisted of Bobcat Football and will continue next year since Holt has decided to play football his senior year!

OES Beauty Pageant to watch this pretty girl!

Hillary's 21st birthday celebration at Papa G's. Life is about choices and sometimes choosing to skip a class to celebrate a birthday is just what you have to do! :)

Dairy Queen run after a pep rally with my girls!

War Eagle! Love her to pieces!

My first (and only at this point) South football game. My parents came on a Saturday and we went to the South vs. Troy game. It was raining and not a very pleasant day for football!

Fall Festival at WBC

Is this not a precious picture? I am so thankful for these two people. They have worked so hard all my life to give me everything I need and much, much more. I am so thankful to call them my parents and I would not be able to survive without them!
(my mom looks like she is about twenty five in this picture)

Not really sure why Emmy has a blue flower in her hair but I am thankful to have these two precious kiddos in my life and miss them like crazy while I'm at school!

It's never too cold for ice cream!!

Karley and I went hunting with "the Bob" one weekend in November

Amelia Joy Sansom was born the Monday of my Thanksgiving break. Lorrie and I got up that morning to head to Dothan to meet this sweet baby!! She is such a blessing and just as beautiful as her sisters!

Road trip to Dothan to visit Ashton and Amelia :)

Thanksgiving with the Hall's

Christmas shopping the weekend after Thanksgiving with my momma and sister...

Most of my fall semester was spent studying statistics. This was by far my most difficult class of the semester.

Amber got engaged right before Christmas break and we all drove to the beach to surprise her and spend the night with her after she and Justin got back from dinner. I am so excited for her and know she will be a beautiful bride!

Christmas break was wonderful and I was not ready to come back to school when the time rolled around...

Little did I know, I was about to meet some of the greatest girls ever and begin some life long friendships. I am so blessed.

This was our girl's bible study for the spring semester. It was absolutely wonderful and very appropriate for the stage of life we are in. We had many great discussions about relationships and learned a lot from each other and the Word. Most of the study was centered around giving God the pen to write not only your "love story" but also your life story. When we surrender our lives to Him, He will do great things. The thing that stuck out most to me in the study was Proverbs 31. Though I have heard this specific scripture many times throughout my life, I never really understood it. "She brings him good, not harm, ALL the days of her life" (v.12). All the days of my life. I am supposed to be bringing good, not harm, to my future spouse right at this very moment. It is not just after I become married, or even after I meet him... it's the here and now. So for any young girls/women who may be reading this, it's true... what you are doing right now really does matter. If you are in a relationship with a guy that is not bringing glory to our Lord and that could be harm to your future husband, no matter how hard it may be, it's time for you to take a stand and get out of the relationship.

Happy 4th Birthday to Emmy!!

Happy 3rd Birthday to my crazy Caroline!!

Spend the night party while the big sister's were at cheer competition!

Holt's junior year baseball season

The first day of spring break week was spent with this sweet baby :)

Then it was off to the beach for the rest of the week!!

The little girls spent the night on Friday night and we got up the next morning to go watch the big girls competition at the beach!

Holt had his junior prom and he was just as cute as he could be!! I can't believe he is about to be a SENIOR!!

Dance recital weekend and a sleepover!

Easter 2013

Here are a few pictures from my two week break at home between spring semester and summer semester!

Wow! That was a lot of catching up to do! Hopefully I will be able to stay on top of it and update more often. Hope everyone has a safe and fun summer!

Oh yeah, one more thing... Ashton texted me this picture earlier in the week. SC had made a book at school and this was something she wrote. It really put a smile on my face and I can't wait for them to come visit! Sweet child!!!

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
